It's time for this to stop! I am completely laundry inept. I have no idea why! Every time I do laundry I end up bleaching something. This time it was my brand-new shirt! Why is this happening? Right away Ryan learned of my laundry handicap when I somehow tie-died his favorite pair of jeans. He immediately asked for a solemn promise from me never to use bleach again. I haven't even bought a bottle of bleach in about nine years, but yet I keep somehow bleaching all my stuff. I always use color-safe detergent, I put the detergent in way before I put my clothes in so that there's plenty of time for it to start dissolving. I always use cold water so that I can keep my colors safe. I don't dry my stuff in the dryer! What is going on?!?!? I am seriously desperate to figure this thing out! I really can't afford any more bleaching mishaps! :(

Do you use any cleaners (for the bathroom or kitchen) that have bleach in them? Maybe somehow you get some on your clothes when you're cleaning and don't notice until you wash it. I've done this several times and now only do my cleaning in clothes that already have bleach stains on them and then wash them as the last load seperatly from everything else.
I will tell you what. You got the I can't do laundry gene and I got the I can't make frosting gene. I think you should give up and hire a maid. Wouldn't that be awesome!
I do the same thing! Mysterious spots appear (or disappear, rather) on my laundry all the time, too! If you figure this out, please share the info!
I've had this same problem!
I use Clearasil, and I'm not sure if it's the benzoyl peroxide or what, but it bleaches my towels! I didn't realized this, but then one day I read the fine print on the label and it says, "..dyed fabrics may be bleached by this product" Gotta love the fine print!
I bleached a towel from dying my hair once. And it got on a couple other things too. But luckily it was just towels. I don't use bleach either. Have you tried oxi clean??
