It was very intense and quite entertaining, but I must say it had the same plot line as like 500 other movies. If there's anything I've learned from watching the movies, It's never, EVER build a super computer! It's just not a good idea! It will ALWAYS try to take over the world.
Here's a quick little plug. My grandma gave me this book for Christmas a few years ago. Sadly, it just sat on my shelf until a couple of months ago. I finally got it down and dusted it off. I have since discovered that it's the most awesome family night book ever! It's so easy. All you do is draw a number out of a bag and it tells you which lesson you'll be teaching. There's no prep work involved. All you have to do is read the lesson (which are written so that you can easily dumb them down for little kids or go more in depth for older ones) and then it gives you discussion ideas, suggested scriptures, and primary songs. We've been using it every week for a couple of months and it's made the agony of trying to think up family home evening lessons a snap! I've been so terrible about family home evening and it feels good to know I'm finally doing it!
Right after pumpkins it was time for our ward Trunk-or-Treat. Tons of people showed up and the girls all had a blast running around with their friends and begging for candy. Can't beat 70 degree weather at the end of October.
Every year my mother-in-law throws a Halloween party for the kids. She spoils her grandkids with crafts, games, and treats. Here are a few pictures of the fun time we had last night.

I have been begging Ryan for years to take me to The Odyssey Dance Theatre's Thriller. I finally gave up on him and tonight I'm going with my little sister Kristy. I'm sooooo excited.

I have been sick for the past week and it's been slightly miserable. It all ended in one fantastic and very lovely sinus infection which I finally broke down and went to a doctor for. This morning when Khursten woke up with a little cough and a stuffy nose, I wanted to be a good mom and remember just how terrible I felt last week. I felt her forehead and asked her if she felt too sick to go to school, which of course she did. Here's a rather fun & easy tag to try. Here's what you do. Go to your "my pictures" and pick the 4th folder, then the 4th photo and upload it. It's fun to see what you get. Here's mine.
This is the picture Nicole drew at church yesterday. She showed it to Ryan & I and was beaming with pride. She explained to us that it was the wise man's house, and he built it on a rock. We managed a pretty convincing "Nice job Nicole!" But when she walked out of the room we both had to chuckle. To us, her picture looked a little bit like something else. Any guesses what?
It seems so crazy to me that it's snowing already. Last week it was in the 80's, but this is what we woke up to today.

Zero is a perfect score. My score was 2! Not too shabby, if I do say so myself. Although, admittedly, I'm not sure what the ability to sort colors can do for me in my day-to-day life. Hey... maybe I can get a job as the gal who reorganizes all the paint samples at Home Depot at the end of the day. That's a skill!

If you have a few minutes, take the test yourself. Let me know how you score. (I'm curious to see how other people do) If your score is low too, maybe we can go into some sort of color-sorting business together! :)
