We're only a few weeks into the summer and this dreaded phrase has already surfaced. "Mom! We're bored!" Well guess what kids... I'm bored too! Let's do something today. Inspired by a friend's recent trip to Wheeler Farm, I decided to pack the girls up for a surprise outing. They tried and tried to figure out our surprise destination with guesses ranging from going bowling to going to the Ocean (sorry not quite that exciting). Wheeler Farm ended up being a pretty good choice. I opened the car door and off they went.
It was so fun watching them get excited about all of the different animals. (And watching some of the animals get excited about them.) Audrey looks like she's smiling in this picture, but when we got stormed by this hungry flock of birds, she wasn't thrilled at all.

Feeding the ducks the rest of Audrey's french toast. It was a win/win situation.
Time to cool off a bit. What a beautiful place to spend the morning.

That picture with the approaching ducks looks kind of scary! I would be running and screaming, too! I love Wheeler Farm! You can't beat free!
