AKA 'Nicole'

Poor little girl. What did we do to you? We named you Nicole Alexandra and for the first 6 months of your life you were Nicole / Cole. Somewhere along the way you became Allie. This name seemed to stick with you for the next 5 years. But every time we went to the doctor's office you were back to 'Nicole'. This proved most confusing. Up until about 6 months ago you thought your name was Allie Nicole Zander Ellsworth. What a mess! This week you told me that you were were through with the name Allie. You said, "Now that we have a new house, a new church and a new school, can I be Nicole?" I figure the ultimate decision should be yours. With a name like Nicole Alexandra, there's plenty of choices. (Although you did inform me that you didn't like Nicky because from far away it sounds like Vicky and you don't like that. ) So this week we've been trying to break the 'Allie' habit and switch to Nicole. It may be hard for us, but we'll try. Just please don't decide next week that you're done with Nicole and would like to try Lexy. :)

I think I will stick with "Bean Bag."

But seriously, we are behind the Allie is now Nicole movement and we have been practising. =)

I like Nicole. I went by "Cynthia" for the the first 11 years of my life and then switched to "Cindy" for the rest. I was also known as "Weed" in highschool because I drew flowers on all of my notes. Someone just decided they looked like weeds. (Note* I didn't even know what marajuana even was or for that matter how to spell it even.)

It's amazing how fast they grow and develop their own identities. I just hope I can get my girls to remember to call her Nicole.

Okay that is too funny! At least at this point if she goes in the witness protection program she will have some familiar names to choose from!

Hey..I was wondering how you do your cute headers at the top of your blog page. Is it easy? Could you teach me? Could you do it and add some photos of my fam? Let me know, I just want my blog to be a bit cuter and I would like to know how to do it. Thanks!

I can relate to the confusing name thing, since Brandon is actually my middle name. It is still very confusing when i do any thing that involves my legal name. the DMV called my name 5 times before i realized that they were calling ME. so you go girl be who ever you want to be.

That's so funny. I had no idea Allie wasn't really Allie. How did you start calling her that? I love both names!

I'm not exactly sure how she came to be Allie. I remember I hated Nicky so she was Cole. But that was a hard name to call a little baby so she soon became Colee. That sounded weird. I remember thinking through other nicknames. Allie just seemed to fit.

I totally remember us having this conversation the first time we came to visit you. I was like-"Hey, whatever works" But I love that she is all about telling you things were going to change! She is so cute!

I'm not so sure how I feel about this. It'll confuse the heck out of Zack. Let me know what she decides on and then I'll tell him to start practicing (he is goig to marry one of your girls and all, if it's Allie then he needs to get used to a new name).
