Have you ever had one of those Sundays where it takes everything you have just to get your family ready and then drag them to church? These are the days where all through the meeting your kids feel the need to pick at and fight with each other. Tears are shed, tantrums are thrown, and every eye in the congregation seems focused on you. You're waiting with bated breath for the closing hymn to be over and the amens to be said so you can rush your family back home. There's no way you're risking these bad attitudes making it through the rest of church. The last thing you want or need at this point is to be summoned from Sunday School to referee the goings-on in Primary. Arghhh! Sometimes church is so hard. I just really hope that Heavenly Father is more focused on the efforts than the results, and that we get extra points for trying when our kids quite clearly are not. :(

Ah yes, we can relate. I hope you are right, and I'm sure you are, otherwise there will be very few peeps in heaven.
Ahhhh....My reply will be this. I got in the car to go this morning and turned to Scott and said "I don't know how people do it with a lot of kids. I can barely make it out the door with two." and we didn't make it to the closing hymn. We made it to the Bishopric thanking the young men for passing the sacrament (but, we have sacrament last and it had been a LONG 2.5 hours) so yes, I understand and feel the frustration!
Someday you will just have memories of these days. Then you will smile fondly at those frazzled mothers who are just starting into that era. Keep up the good work Sarah.
I had to drag little Wes out with much weeping and wailing today. Just know you are not alone. =]
Seriously...we have to get points for trying, because I know I don't get very much out of church. The point is to be there!
I hear you sister! My Sunday was like that too, it seems like sacrament meeting just gets longer every week. I got pulled out of Sunday school because Max pee'd on the nursery leaders lap. So I'm with you. But luckily there are other Sundays when it is not bad. We'll get there soon.
I've always thought that they should call a "Hall Teacher" or let moms rotate giving the lesson in the hall for all of the moms with little ones. Cindy
