Everything has been coming up roses for us lately. I guess we were due for a little bad luck. And when I say a little bad luck, I guess I really mean the worst luck we could possibly have. Maybe I'm being a little melodramatic. We were getting ready to go someplace with some friends when all of the sudden my beloved Durango decided it no longer liked to reverse. It just sat there and refused. We were hoping and praying that maybe we were just out of transmission fluid, or maybe the linkage was off. But alas, no such luck. She's dead. The transmission is out, and it doesn't look like it will be worth it to fix it. I think I will still drive her around for a while until we figure out what we're going to do. I'll just need to be very careful that I'm not going to need to reverse it for any reason. I guess I'll be hunting down the pull-through spots.
I have had my Durango for the past 6 years. My girls have even named her the Great Green Glenna. So I am sad. And I dread the idea of having a car payment again. Woe is me.

I'm so sorry!! Are you going to look for another Durango, or go for something different?
It's the end of an era. Every time my kids see any green Durango, they always ask "hey, is that Sarah?"
Great Green Glenna, you will be missed.
So how's the never going into reverse situation going? Or, did you run out and buy yourselves an Impala this weekend?
