Dinner with the Prophet

I had dinner with the prophet last night! It's true! I'd like to say it was just he and I, but if I'm being honest I would have to say that the entire Mormon Tabernacle Choir and their +1's were there too. My mom invited me as her date to the Tabernacle Choir's Annual Christmas Party at the Grand America. I thought it was such a neat experience watching President Monson and his wife at the head table just chatting it up with their friends. And me... just a few tables away. It was also fun to hear him speak in a non-scripted way, making jokes with his friends. He's so human and such an amazing man. How blessed we are to live in this dispensation with a modern-day prophet to lead our church! Thanks mom for bringing me along!

That is a neat expirience. For all our complaining, we really are lucky girls when it comes to mom's choir. We had got to do and see some pretty cool stuff.

Hey, I can't get your blog to load all the way. I get the posts and the header, but nothing else.
Kinda weird.

Wow that is so cool, especially just as a casual get together and to see him just as a normal person. I think that is awesome.

Sorry I missed lunch today. Being out in the north end of the valley, it looked pretty scary to drive a long distance. But I'm glad Isaac could go, and so nice of you guys to treat. BTW-Glad to see you are still fans of the murder mystery dinners. Sounds and looks like a great time! So neat that you got to have dinner with the prophet too. I'm just getting all my comments out here for the last three posts. Merry Christmas!

Sadly no. I really wanted to shake his hand, but I was too stinkin' wimpy to go up and ask him. I wanted to be able to tell my girls that I had though. I wish I wasn't such a wimp sometimes.

It was really nice to read this. That would have been wonderful to attend. It's great that you think this is such a good time to live in, cause I just think of the bad things that are happening. Now I'll try to think of the good things and good people and leaders.
