I guess I should start off by saying that the surprise isn't that it's been 10 years. Ryan & I celebrated our 10th anniversary yesterday. It was weird because I have been saying for several months that we've been married almost a decade, but when it was actually official I couldn't believe it. I have now been married for over a third of my life. It's crazy to me to think it's been so long. I was going to type up a sappy post about the past 10 years, but I think I'll skip that and move on to the surprise.
Ryan has school on Mondays and I wasn't even expecting to see him yesterday. I even invited over my little sister Kristy to come and celebrate my anniversary with me. There was talk of watching old Doris Day movies. Then, at about 3:00 I heard the garage go up and guess who walked through the door? Ryan had arranged to have the last part of the day off. He even coordinated with his teacher to miss class last night. He called my sister and told her of his plan and asked her to give up our old movie night. AND AND AND he arranged a babysitter. What a great husband I have!! We got to celebrate our anniversary in style. Do I have the best husband in the world, or what???
I honestly wasn't expecting anything. I mean, hello!! We are going to Hawaii next month for crying outloud. I'm a lucky girl to have such a thoughtful husband. We went to dinner and a movie and he even surprised me with my very favorite thing in the world.
It's a Willow Tree and it's called Anniversary. I cried real tears.
Thanks for making our anniversary so special and for making the last ten years something I would never trade away. I love you Ryan.

I would cry real tears too! Ryan deserves a huge pat on the back. What a guy! Tell him to feel free to give Mike some helpful hints come the end of May! I LOVE the Willow Tree figurine too. Ryan sure must like you a little bit!
